To maximize your enjoyment and minimize your frustration, please come equipped with the following depending on season:

  • Valid NYS Fishing License (annual licenses valid 10/1 thru 9/30)
  • Waders (metal studs or cleats REQUIRED for salmon and steelhead trips)
  • Polarized Sunglasses
  • Rod/reel (and spares if you have them) - you are always free to use my tackle
  • Flies if you wish to supply your own
  • Spey heads / sink tips if you wish to supply your own
  • Wading Jacket (protects against rain/wind and reduces soaking in case you fall in)
  • Wading Staff if you typically use one
  • Medical necessitiescold weather can be tolertaed with proper packing
  • Extra water /snacks
  • Brimmed hat
  • Sunscreen
  • Bug juice
  • Sun gloves
  • Fingerless fleece gloves
  • Cold weather hat with ear flaps
  • Face/neck gaiter
  • Under wader clothing (no cotton!)
  • Chemical hand / toe warmers
  • Camera
  • Hand towel to dry hands after releasing your fish
  • Cooler if you intend to harvest some Pacific salmon
